Yoga Now Gold Coast has renewable bamboo floors, earthen sculptures, energy-efficient appliances and light and recycled doors. The doors were dyed with a natural stain from Greenmaker Supply. The flooring in the dressing area is made of marmoleum, made of linseed oil, wood flour, rosin, jute and limestone. The walls are insulated with recycled denim jeans. They are plastered with a mixture of clay, sand, sand, straw, casein (a milk protein) and mica - which makes them sparkle. The studio features arched windows, clay plaster in warm earth tones and potted plants for plenty of oxygen. Students use natural rubber mats and renewable cork blocks... and there's a bike rack out front. There are cob (sand, clay and straw) scultptures including a Mayan pyramid over the entrance, a heated and lighted bench, an "Om" symbol, cob trees and a meditation dome.
